Verde Kitchen Pick the Right Catch

With more than 80 percent of the world’s marine fish stocks either fully exploited or overfished, Verde Kitchen will be dedicating a special ‘Pick the Right Catch’ theme with seasonal highlight menu items for diners from 1 June to 30 September, 2019 that supports the sustainable seafood movement.

In addition to raising awareness on sustainable seafood dining, the seasonal menu also serves to support World Oceans Day on June 8, which invites people around the world to celebrate and honour the ocean. You can expect a wholesome lunch that is big on flavours, nourishing for the body and sustainable for the ocean.

The special ‘Pick the Right Catch’ creations include:

  • Sesame crusted seared MSC-certified U.S. scallops with asparagus, snow peas, watercress and miso dressing
  • Grilled MSC-certified fish fillet served with grapefruit, orange and shaved fennel citrus salad drizzled with smoked olive oil
  • Almond-crusted ASC-certified salmon with arugula, feta cheese and green pea mash with coconut oil dressing
  • MSC-certified nonya-style New Zealand rockling fish with spicy sour tomato and pineapple gravy, organic okra and brown rice

Currently, 60 percent of seafood served on Verde Kitchen’s menu carries the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) or Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) eco-labels, ensuring the seafood sources are either sustainably caught or responsibly farmed respectively.
